structure information well, including
outlining content and aims,
signalling transitions and summarising
key points as the lesson progresses;
Using plenaries to consolidate learning,
move learning on and develop thinking skills
clearly present content around
a set of keyideas
using appropriate subject-specific
vocabulary and well chosen illustrations and examples
give clear instruction and demonstration,
and accurate, well-paced explanation;
use effective questioning which
matches the pace and direction of the lesson and ensures that
pupils take part
pay careful attention to pupils`
errors and misconceptions, and help to remedy them |
